F3 Dealing with the Wicked Witch

The Deep Dark Scary Forest was neither deep nor scary at its periphery. It was, however, dark, which was appropriate. I settled into the clearing, enjoying the silence. In the Realms silence was automatically perceived as scary, but that was simply because the villages, castles, and various golden forests were alive with song from both people and animals.
“Well, mortal, I have you,” came a shrill voice, half-cackle.
I opened my eyes to see the witch, looking more like Disney’s Maleficent than Dorothy’s Wicked Witch.
“You know that’s not the deal between us.” I unslung the wicker pack from my shoulder and proceeded to opening it. I spread the blanket and pulled out the food, including a large bottle of pixie nectar.
The Witch—she still wouldn’t tell me her name—waited patiently then kissed me soundly on the mouth. It was not a chaste kiss.
“One of these days I shall succeed in corrupting you, Samuel.” Her voice became husky.

“Lady, I planned out three bachelor parties in Atlantic City, the last of which nearly resulted in criminal charges.” I ran a hand along her thigh. “I’m already corrupt.”
