Thought Provoking

I love programs, books, and articles that make me think, that actively attempt to start a discussion rather than conclude or sidestep one. There are a lot of complex issues out there worthy of discussion in order to deal with the myriad variables and points of view worthy of including into the debate.
This is one of the reasons why I gravitate to the programs written by Aaron Sorkin. I understand that not everyone likes his style, but I appreciate how he tries to provoke discussion by showing all potential viewpoints. I believe he hopes that people will view his films and programs and begin a dialogue with one another. It’s only by talking with one another that we can hope to arrive at compromises that accommodate the various viewpoints.
