F3 Residual

Natalie sat on the cloud with me as we looked north, eyeing the swirling mass of air that would collide with the clouds.
“Well?”
“The air mass will trigger a snowfall, and then swirl into the clouds.”
We had been playing this game since winter began, and so far I had been right every single time.
“No way. Not this time. You’re wrong.”
“Put up or shut up.”
“Fine. Name it.”
“French Maid.”
She didn’t hesitate. “Deal.”
No doubt she wants to see me in the outfit.
We shook on it.
We watched as the front moved into the clouds. Sure enough, as soon as the air hit, it caused snowfall, confirmed by the weather report.
“How the fuck are you doing that?”
“Just lucky, I guess,” I lied.
Ever since the Frost power with Maddy over the summer, there’s been something . . . residual. I’m more sensitive to winter, somehow. Scares the hell out of me, too.
“Come on, we better move fast before the lingerie stores close,” Natalie said.
