So I’ve
been to Boston in July, November, March, April, and September. I’ve been so
often I should get resident status (sorta). But one thing I’ve never been able
to do is partake of the changing of the leaves.
This is
particularly important to me because, well, I live in a desert. The leaves
(what we have of them) don’t change colors. They stay green and hang around
until February, then drop en masse. The trees then immediately begin to grow
new leaves. So I’ve never seen leaves go from green to yellow to orange to red.
It’s a foreign experience for me.
This last
trip I came close. And I intend to one day experience the New England fall
foliage in all its glory. This feels like a good idea for a road trip.
